Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892) was known as the "Prince of Preachers” pastoring the London Metropolitan Tabernacle where thousands came to Christ and services drew 10,000 people all before PowerPoint, praise bands, and skinny jeans. Visitors would flock to the church to learn the success of his ministry. Spurgeon would take them to the basement where hundreds gathered in fervent prayer before and during the church service. He called it the "boiler room,” the power source that heated homes and ran factories. As one person put it, boiler rooms were unglamorous, but essential. We want to build a boiler room to seek God’s power and presence through prayer.
Join us this Sunday, Jan. 3 from 8:00-8:20pm on Zoom to hear how we will spend the first Sundays of the month building our boiler room with a book study and prayer time. For questions or interest, email Greg Gibbs (gwgibbs92@gmail.com).
